On Sunday the 8th January 1984 the Eastern Counties Omnibus Society commemorated the end of service for the FLF Bristol Lodekka bus with a tour around Norwich and suburbs. FLFs JPW 456D and GVF446D performed the duties for the day.
On board JPW 456D we travel to Buckingham Road, South Park Avenue, North Park Avenue, Ruskin Road, Wycliffe Road, Northfields, Lovelace Road, The Avenues, UEA, Bluebell Road, Earlham Road, Earlham Park Gates, Wilberforce Road, Malbrook Road, Earlham Green Lane, Clover Hill Road, Humble Yard, Rawley Road, Wendene, Dereham Road, Longwater Lane, West End, Oval Road, The Oval, Dereham Road, Sweet Briar Road, Boundary Road, The Whiffler, Windsor Road, Middletons Lane, Fifers Lane, St Faiths Lane, Catton Grove Road, Angel Road, Waterloo Road, Constitution Hill, Wall Road, Wroxham Road (Blue Boar), Tombland, Prince of Wales Road, Riverside Road and finally with the light fading we end the DVD at Ketts Hill. The tour continued on to the Heartsease Estate and Thorpe.
The CD contains 90 Black&White and colour images going back to the mid 60's. The line was closed on the 3rd May 1969. See a very busy Hunstanton on a summer Saturday, Brush Type 2's at various location along the line and much more.
Contains 80 plus images of the line taken mostly around 1970, the line being closed on the 2nd May that year. Also a section comparing some locations with 1970 and what remains in 2001.
